Abstract

This paper presents a multi-stage pipeline for the segmentation of manuscript fragments from images of the Israel Antiquities Authority, employing custom procedures including multispectral thresholding for the separation of ink and parchment regions. The method is designed for producing a scientific image set of Dead Sea Scroll fragments.
